Course Description

Storytelling is a great way to connect with your customers, but you cannot be everything to everyone. Your story needs to connect your customers to your bottom line. In this half-day workshop, attendees will explore the art of storytelling in small business and how to develop an authentic story that communicates your brand and connects to customers’ purchasing decisions and brand loyalty. Instructor: Jennifer Dodson is the Chief Creative Officer at Adashmore Creative, a marketing and branding company she founded in 2010. She earned two bachelor degrees from Towson University in Mass Communication and Art before attending MICA for the Masters of Professional Studies Business of Art and Design program.

Design Thinking will explore how to apply creativity, collaboration, interactive processes, and tolerance for new ideas, research, intuition and synthesis to traditional business practices today. Today’s workforce values professionals who know how to explore the innovation needed to reinvent how business in done, products and services are delivered and audiences are engaged. The business world has changed dramatically and this class explores how use a designer’s creative approach and significant problem solving skills in today’s marketplace.
